10 months per year

Duties:

• In accordance with the general job description for library technicians
• Creation of cataloguing records for the union catalogue
• Working in cooperation with the divisional library technician under the direction of the director of library programs and services

Qualifications:

• Library and Information Technology Diploma, Library Technician or Library Training Program Certificate, or a demonstrated commitment to complete such training required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff
• Knowledge working with automated library systems would be an asset
• Proficient knowledge of MARC 21 cataloguing and LC subject headings
• Proficient computer skills
• Fluently bilingual (French/English) preferred

Candidates from CUPE 3873 will be given first priority.
